The class of ’68 also made their mark in the GHS track team. John New held the shot put record for over 40 years, while Pete Norris set records in the two hurdles events. Additionally, Kevin See, Larry Boswell, and Pete Norris were part of the mile relay team that set the school record.
Individually, members of the class of ’68 played on the first and second most championship teams in GHS history. Pete Norris played on five championship teams, while Jay Frye and John New played on four.
