Salvation is being saved or rescued from the penalty of sin, which separates us from God. Through Jesus Christ, we can be saved and have a restored relationship with God.
God’s love for us is shown in John 3:16-17 and John 10:10. Despite our sin, He sent His Son, Jesus, to live a sinless life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again on the third day. Jesus now intercedes for us in heaven (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).
Salvation comes not through being “good” but by God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8). We all fall short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23), and the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). However, Jesus paid that penalty, providing the only way to eternal life with God.
To receive salvation, start by admitting that you are a sinner. Recognize your sins and ask God for His forgiveness. Next, repent by turning away from sin and committing to live a life that honors God. Finally, believe in Jesus by trusting Him as your Lord and Savior, acknowledging His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.
When you accept Christ, He transforms you into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and gives you victory over sin (1 Corinthians 15:57). Salvation is God’s free gift, and by accepting it, you experience His love, forgiveness, and eternal life.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation brings peace, joy, and a personal relationship with God.
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here’s how:
Here’s a suggested prayer you can use:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I want to turn from my sins and thank You for dying on the cross for me. I believe You are the Son of God, that You rose from the dead, and that through You alone, I can be saved. By transferring my total trust to You as my Savior, I now receive the forgiveness of my sins and the free gift of eternal life that You offer me. Come into my heart, take control of my life, and help me follow You as my Lord from this day forward. Thank You for Your love and grace. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
